Rachel Combs

Rachel Combs is a songwriter and guitarist raised inside the Nashville old-time scene — her father is fiddler James Bryan, who has played with Norman and Nancy Blake since the early 1980s, and Rachel came up playing guitar in Norman Blake’s band as a teenager. Her duo record Originals (2018) was produced by Dave “Fergie” Ferguson at Easy Eye Sound. Her ideas show up across The Nashville Collective’s work, and her ear keeps the rest of the room honest.
