Dominick Leslie is a Grammy-winning mandolinist and one of the most respected acoustic instrumentalists of his generation. A Berklee graduate raised in Evergreen, Colorado, he’s a member of the instrumental quartet Hawktail (with Brittany Haas, Paul Kowert, and Jordan Tice) and has played in The Deadly Gentlemen, Noam Pikelny & Friends, Sam Reider and the Human Hands, Missy Raines and the New Hip, and Phoebe Hunt and the Gatherers.

He releases collaborative records with longtime musical partner Ric Robertson — Shrimp Tales, Impromptu Sessions — and turns up regularly on session work across the Nashville bluegrass and string-band community. His playing balances tradition with a forward-leaning harmonic sensibility, equally at home on a barn-burning fiddle tune or a quiet duet that needs nothing else in the way.
